Liposuction

Removes localised fat deposits that don't respond to diet or exercise, restoring body contour.

Who usually considers this

  • There are areas with stubborn fat (abdomen, flanks, thighs) that don't respond to diet
  • Overall weight is stable — liposuction is not a weight-loss method
  • Your own fat can sometimes be used to enhance other areas

How it goes

Through a few millimetre-sized incisions, the surgeon removes fat tissue from the selected areas. Volume and technique are chosen based on your anatomy at an in-person exam.

Common questions

Is this a way to lose weight?

No, liposuction removes localised fat at a stable weight — it doesn't replace weight loss.

Won't the skin sag afterwards?

It depends on skin elasticity — the doctor assesses this at the exam and may suggest combining it with a lift.
